Dolphin and Whale watching trip in San Diego

WOW 🤩! What an amazing and exciting experience going out with Gone Whale Watching! Captain Ty and Shannon were incredible! They really made for a special trip. They were very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information about the marine life we saw and the underwater canyon below. It was really educational. The boat itself, is cozy with some room to move about and I think is an ideal boat for photographers attempting to capture shots of the wildlife. We got up close with some dolphins riding the bow, which made for cool videos on our phones! We also found some humpback whales and it was exhilarating! We were so close and low that made for some magical shots. I really enjoyed my afternoon out with Gone Whale watching, Captain Ty’s expertise was much appreciated and I also felt safe with them on this smaller vessel. It was comfortable and super cool! If you’re in San Diego and want an awesome experience with less people then this is the whale watching tour you want to be on, as well as if you’re aiming to try out that new lens 😉. 10/10 will book again. Never have been disappointed with Gone Whale Watching. Best Humpback Whale Watch I have ever been on, whales all around us. Got some amazing shots out of it. The team is always super friendly and knowledgeable where the best spots are. Jess and Michael were great! I'll come again, as always :)

When in San Diego…GO WHALE WATCHING with the happy crew at Gone Whale Watching:) I was so stoked when I heard ORCAS were visiting + I got to jump on, spontaneously, the EPIC boat “the Hana Hou”! What a smoothie ride out to the fun. We took about an hour trip to the west on the Pacific Ocean…and sure enough…we found the ETP pod of Orcas with about 15 pod members including a bull male, females + teenagers + a fresh calf frolicking into the sunset hours. In addition I got to meet + make amazing new friends + peeps whom speak the same language…do you speak whale? If so, this is your sign to book a whale of an adventure! Just finished a whale and dolphin watching tour with Tai and Jess, it was an absolutely incredible experience. The crew was friendly and informative and we saw incredible sights. We saw 9 humpbacks (7 in a big group!) and a mega pod of dolphins as far as the eye can see. We will definitely be back for future tours.

Amazing excursion. Easy to get to, free close by parking, and great crew. We saw 4 humpback whales in their natural habitat as well as pods of dolphins. We went in December and it was super chilly and windy. I wore a sweater and pants, cashmere scarf and boots and was still cold. Also, if you get sea sick, the boat is fast and choppy. Take dramamine.
