Dolphin and Whale watching trip in San Diego

WOW 🤩! What an amazing and exciting experience going out with Gone Whale Watching! Captain Ty and Shannon were incredible! They really made for a special trip. They were very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information about the marine life we saw and the underwater canyon below. It was really educational. The boat itself, is cozy with some room to move about and I think is an ideal boat for photographers attempting to capture shots of the wildlife. We got up close with some dolphins riding the bow, which made for cool videos on our phones! We also found some humpback whales and it was exhilarating! We were so close and low that made for some magical shots. I really enjoyed my afternoon out with Gone Whale watching, Captain Ty’s expertise was much appreciated and I also felt safe with them on this smaller vessel. It was comfortable and super cool! If you’re in San Diego and want an awesome experience with less people then this is the whale watching tour you want to be on, as well as if you’re aiming to try out that new lens 😉. 10/10 will book again. A long overdue review for Gone Whale Watching! I have been on a number of trips with Captain Dom and the rest of his crew over the past 4 years or so and they are definitely my favorite whale watching trips. I have been out with several of their boats with varying captains and crew members, but always had a great time and enjoyed their knowledge and passion for these gentle giants. As a photographer, I really appreciate the smaller boats that really get you in the right spot for the optimal experience and the crew is always trying to ensure that everyone on board gets everything they can out of each trip. You never know what you will see of course, but I've had amazing experiences seeing blue whales, fin whales, breaching humpbacks, orcas, and much more. If you have any interest in whales, I highly recommend Gone Whale Watching for an amazing experience here in San Diego!

Never have been disappointed with Gone Whale Watching. Best Humpback Whale Watch I have ever been on, whales all around us. Got some amazing shots out of it. The team is always super friendly and knowledgeable where the best spots are. Jess and Michael were great! I'll come again, as always :)

Just finished a whale and dolphin watching tour with Tai and Jess, it was an absolutely incredible experience. The crew was friendly and informative and we saw incredible sights. We saw 9 humpbacks (7 in a big group!) and a mega pod of dolphins as far as the eye can see. We will definitely be back for future tours.

Tai and Jess did phenomenal with our group! They were focused on our safety and knowledgeable, answering our questions and giving us info about their migration journey across the ocean. We were so fortunate to be able to see 9 humpback whales and soo many (hundreds, at least) dolphins!! We enjoyed the cruise, it was amazing and would love to come back.
