Description
Marymere Falls is one of the most accessible and beloved waterfalls in Olympic National Park, offering a serene 1.8-mile roundtrip hike through breathtaking old-growth forests. The trail starts near Lake Crescent at the Storm King Ranger Station, following a well-maintained path through towering conifers and lush ferns.
After about half a mile, hikers reach a junction—staying left leads upstream under a verdant canopy of moss-covered trees. Soon, the trail crosses Barnes Creek and Falls Creek via picturesque wooden bridges before ascending 200 feet into a mossy ravine. At the top, two viewpoints showcase the dramatic 90-foot Marymere Falls as it cascades through a narrow cliffside.
For those looking to extend their hike, a detour to the nearby Moments in Time Trail offers additional scenic views of Lake Crescent. The trail is easy to moderate, making it a great choice for families and casual hiker.
