Paddle Hard at Kern River Outfitters

I had scheduled a multi day rafting trip for my son and me with Momentum and all of our contact with the staff was very enjoyable. They are super kind and fun people. unfortunately when we scheduled our trip, we had no idea there would be multiple fires breaking out all around us. That led to the county/Cal fire shutting down the longer trips. This could’ve been a total heartbreaker, but momentum really handled it perfectly. They offered us a half day trip for free and then we had the choice of either getting a full refund or putting our money toward a future trip. I don’t know when I will be able to drive up here to do it again, but I will definitely be using their services for my next river rafting adventure. They have a customer for life. This company also does rafting trips all over the place, so feel free to chat it up with your guide and they will provide you with great recommendations and Inside scoops. The portion of the current river we did get to go down with fun. At the time we went it was about class three rapids, which was perfect as my son had never been river rafting and it allowed him to see how amazingly fun this is. Once again, we are really looking forward to using momentum for our future rafting trips and since my son now has the rafting bug, we will be doing this as soon as we can get away.

I can’t praise them enough. First off, they provide everything and I mean EVERYTHING. We were given helmets and some are prepped with Go Pro mounts, life jackets, and lunch, dry bag, a mesh bag for your water bottles. The safety education we were given was informative and helpful to know (PAY ATTENTION). During our experience, we did a couple class 1-4 rapids, a cliff jump, and chilled and floating down in the water during calm waters. The nature and scenery was amazing so make sure to pause and appreciate the beauty it brings. Lunch time: amazing! When you’re reading over and signing the waivers there’s a section for food preferences and allergies. I’m 100% gluten free for medical issues and typically when gluten free is marked I would be given fruit so I was expecting something similar, NOPE. They took the time to buy me gluten free bread and let me fix my lunch before everyone to avoid cross contamination and I couldn’t be any more appreciative for that. Thank you for a great time!

I brought the kids up for their first whitewater trip. My 91 year old mother, the children's great grandmother came along for the fun! Albert and Santiago were the nicest people I have met in a long time. We all want to move up to a multi day trip😀! Thank you Momentum for a great river trip.

Awesome time with the family. Great tour guide . Lots of fun. Did the 1/2 day, spent about 1hr 45 min on the river. Can't wait to do it again. Next time, maybe the 2 day trip. Diego our tour guide was very funny and knowledgeable.

What an amazing day! We did the one day trip and it was so much fun. The rapids were great and the guides were awesome! Sven rocked it. He took cautious first time rafters and made rafting enthusiast. They were "riding the bull" and all in by the end of the first run. We all felt safe with Sven in charge even taking on the big ones. Overall I think the entire crew emphasize safety without scaring rafters and that made this mom very happy. This was a great adventure for my family and friends.
