Release the Tent-sion with Mendocino Grove Glamping

This was my third trip here and I love it a little more each time. The trees are beautiful and I love listening to nature from the comfort of a cozy tent in a bed with a heated mattress pad. The bathrooms are clean with hot water. The paths are well taken care of. There is a “campfire valet” who will come build your fire for you. They offer dinner some nights with live music. Breakfast on the weekends of oatmeal and a variety of toppings is complementary. There is an espresso bar open from 8-11 but the complementary tea and coffee selection was perfect for me. New this time were massages and a sauna which would be amazing on the cold, foggy days that are so common up there. The location is fantastic. Close to a million great hikes and easy to go into the cute town of Mendocino. Also not too far from Fort Bragg.

Such a beautiful and great experience. We stayed 2 nights and it was a perfect camping experience. We loved all the details including the bathhouse with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels provided. In our tent, the dog bed and bowls, the lanterns, the hangers, etc. They also have carts to roll your things to your site. The amenities like the community area and gas fire pits were great. Also, the fact they have a fire valet to start your fire and will deliver firewood for you. The bed was also SO comfortable and we had no trouble staying warm with the heated blanket. The guests were so well behaved. I’m used to campgrounds being rowdy, but this experience was very calming. Everyone was dead silent from 10 pm to 7 am. Also, the views were amazing and at night you could hear the ocean waves. In the morning, you can hear all the birds chirping. Such a perfect experience.

We spent 3 nights at Mendocino Grove in tent P9. We had a great view of the ocean and the tents around us weren’t uncomfortably close to us like the campgrounds closer to the entrance. The bed was pretty comfortable (could feel a metal bar but not bad). They provide a big storage chest at the end of the bed. It did smell pretty musty though and I didn’t put my clothes inside. Would have loved to have a locked storage though for valuables. Bathroom is about 45 seconds away. Staff was great and owner really responsive. Tried to use a couple of the gas grill and they would not heat up - let the owner know and she was on it immediately and replaced them within the day. Asked for a bag of ice and again, the response was quick. Enjoyed the light breakfast of oatmeal (lots of toppings ), hard boiled eggs and banana bread. Coffee was hot and so many varieties of tea. We had no problems with critters.

I had the best time here. They are very organized and keep the site pristine. The bathrooms and showers were clean, the staff will go above and beyond for you and your needs. It does get cold but they will bring more blankets if you ask. It was a great escape from the fast paced life. Very relaxing and the games and tea they offer are great too.

Such a fun weekend! Get away from the city and go camping but with all of the comforts. Breakfast is included which is a lovely touch. Beautifully clean shower blocks with wonderful products. Yoga available in the morning and walking tours where you can learn about the fauna and flora.
