Ride Buggies on Oceano Dunes

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. We felt comfortable and taken care of the entire time. They have numerous rentals to choose from. I chose the 2-seater buggy so my daughter could sit with me. My sister and brother-in-law chose an ATV. I got the buggy stuck in a dune and the manager Brad came with another employee to get us out so we could continue having fun. All in all we would definitely rent from them again!

I had an absolutely incredible time renting ATVs at Sun Buggie fun ATV rentals. I rented a 350cc ATV! It had plenty of power for the dunes and trails but was still easy to handle, even for someone with limited ATV experience. The area was HUGE and you had free reign to go pretty much anywhere and do anything. The trails were breathtaking, and the adrenaline rush from cruising over the dunes was unmatched. It was the perfect mix of adventure and fun, made even better by how supportive and approachable the Sun Buggie team was. One of the staff made funny jokes the entire time and made our experience all the better. They even gave us a list of all the food places in the area and gave us more excursion recommendations since we were new to the area. We had a blast! Everything was awesome. Super friendly staff, they were great with my little one. Check in process was easy, just paperwork, a video, helmets, and then onto the shuttle. The guys got us into and on our rides and we were on our way. Had no technical issues. We rode all over the dunes, only got stuck once but got ourselves out. Had a blast!

Started off as a good experience with the front desk help. Booking day of seemed to be easy and they were friendly and helpful. The safety video and directions are a little long so plan for that and also theres a van ride you take to the actual atvs. The major issue I had with Sun Buggie was the experience once we got to the atvs. We rented 2-350cc and 2-450cc. The atvs weren't up to passable standards as they were broken and tied together to hold the body frame together which in my history of driving and riding atvs/motocross this is VERY unsafe and should be ILLEGAL to rent to customers because of safety. I shared this with the attendant and he said "its fine just some visual damage". I told him I wanted a replacement as it was for my partner and she was not use to riding atvs but instead of replacing it he told us to just try it out as it would just eat up more of our time. Well like I said I have experience and was RIGHT. The atv would NOT WORK...it took away about 30min of our as she was stopping and going because it would just turn off randomly. We finally got them to replace it but by that time it had already cause a lot issues for us. When returning our atvs one of the people in our group wanted to get one last video/photo on the bike. While she was returning it to line it up next to the other atvs all seemed well but the attendant must have felt she was going too fast(she wasnt...) and started YELLING and SCREAMING...."YOU'RE GOING TOO FAST STOOOOP YOU NEED TO F'ING STOP". Yelling at someone while they are operating a vehicle is very unsafe but seems to be fitting for this place. She was literally going at a snails pace and tapped a guide truck that was near the line of returned atvs. ZERO DAMAGE....but they tried to claim that she messed up the atv and truck(both in horrible conditions but you'll see for yourself if you risk renting from them) Returned the atvs to switch to the 4 seater wolverines we rented. This was even more of a nightmare and issue as the body and all seemed to be well equipped after 20min of riding around we noticed some issues while accelerating and turning that i noticed was weird so i checked the tires and saw the problem immediately. The tire was FLAT. Now typically this wouldn't be an issue with most rentals as they would bring out a replacement for us to ride and we continue our hour but we were pretty fed up with the issues and problems from Sun Buggie so we decided to return to the desk and check out to go home. All seemed fine and we even asked for a refund or time back on the wolverine since the tire became flat and they agreed to give us a FREE hour the next time we come back. So at the time they shared they will speak with management on the issue of a refund and we went on our way home. Weeks later while waiting for a response and my friend(whos card we used) spoke with management for a few weeks about what transpired. They tell us we needed to pay $300!! for the FLAT TIRE....something that was not in our control from our side. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS SHADY SCHEME from Sun Buggie. To give us a trash ATV then have a worker YELL and curse at a customer...then have us pay for a flat tire for an uncontrollable circumstance is crazy. Take your chances else where and you'd be better off buying an entire brand new ATV then wasting it at this place where you'll end up spending the same amount of money anyway.
