Daytime Visit to Atlanta Botanical Garden

The experience at the Atlanta Botanical Garden was phenomenal! My favorite sections were the orchid house and the edible garden. The high elevator orchid exhibit has many very rare and special orchids that are tiny - including some pitcher plants as well. The layout of the entire garden is wonderful for meandering around on a nice day and I was surprised at how uncrowded each exhibit was despite coming at a peak weekend time. We came during the day so we missed the Christmas lights, but I hear they are gorgeous and seem to be sprinkled throughout garden in unexpected and delightful ways. As a native Californian was wasn’t too surprised by the cactus garden. The dry heat of the exhibit was a nice way to start our day because it was a bit chilly when we first arrived. The larger suspension bridge section was beautiful and has seats so you can sit and enjoy the views. I was happy that the rose garden was still blooming but I definitely think that this falls off the closer to winter that we get. This would be perfect for families to bring their kids - in fact there is a train that goes round the plaza near the orchid promenade. Parking was inexpensive (~5$) and admission was less than 60$ for two people. If I lived in town I would certainly get a membership and pay for the parking pass to reduce the cost of coming regularly. 10/10 would come again!

I came here specifically to see the Earth Goddess in all of her glory. I was not disappointed. They had the Halloween decorations out and about and several of them represented different "celebrity" or movie characters. It was entertaining to see. We enjoyed it all so much. I swear there were about 30,000 pumpkins there. The Rain Forest exhibits were amazing. I was in awe at almost every turn. The edible garden was nice but a bit bland. I bet it's gorgeous out here at nightfall.

Had an amazing time at Garden Lights with the family! Definitely bring the family for fun! Lots to see and do! Wear comfortable shoes a lot of walking around, but it's worth it. Drinks available all throughout the walk way warm and cold drinks available to buy.

Recently visited the Atlanta Botanical Garden during the Garden Lights, Holiday Nights event. Upon entry it brought you to a winter wonderland. The entry was very easy, we pulled out our tickets, given all add-ons we got and were scanned right in. The path laid out isn’t linear so you can take it at your own pace and create whatever path you’d like. Overall it was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to take some time and visit the gardens during the day as well. The garden is beautiful and lights create an amazing spectacle you can only find at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
