Red Rocks Amphitheater Concert Experience

This is THE concert venue. Definitely one of the coolest places to see a show. We sat in row 51 for Brit Floyd and felt like it was a great location to get the gorgeous rocks/view of Denver/stage all in one. Be careful about leaving your seat though. People will sometimes sit in any empty seat and try to claim it as their own. That’s why I felt better getting an assigned seat vs. taking my chances in the general admission areas. I would also highly recommend getting to the venue early! The closest parking lots fill up fast and the lines to get in can be really long. If you have to park in the lower lots, you will be doing some unwanted hiking. Take your time to look around and snap some photos before the doors open. Another tip is to start leaving during the last song… it saves some time getting out for sure.

Red Rocks Amphitheater is absolutely incredible, just minutes from Denver. The views are breathtaking, and I've never seen a place like it anywhere in the world (+20 countries in my account). It feels like they cut the rock in half and placed bleachers and a stage inside. Even if there's no event going on, it's totally worth a visit. It's easy to get to, parking is simple, and everything is well-organized, with restrooms conveniently located. The on-site restaurant is great too, with a stunning view and reasonably priced. I definitely need to come back for a show. There were a few musicians rehearsing when I visited, and the acoustics are fantastic, which is a huge part of Red Rocks' history. So many great artists have performed here. Best part? It's free! I didn’t pay a cent, which is rare compared to other places around the world that charge a fortune and don’t come close to this level of structure.

Red Rocks Amphitheater is absolutely stunning and one of the most incredible places to see a concert. The natural acoustics, breathtaking views, and overall vibe are unmatched. It’s truly a bucket list experience for any music lover. However, getting out after the concert is complete chaos. The parking lots and roads leading out are not designed to handle the massive crowds, so expect to sit in traffic for quite a while. If you’re patient, it’s manageable, but it’s something to be prepared for. Despite the traffic, Red Rocks is worth every bit of hassle it’s an unforgettable venue that’s second to none. Just plan ahead and pack your patience for the exit!

For the first time, my wife and I attended the For King and Country concert on 9/30/24 at 7 pm. It was a crisp fall evening with perfect temps in the low 60's. We parked and hiked to the entrance with a mass of others, most out of breath because many were attending from out of state. The park was absolutely beautiful as the sun was setting. We entered the amphitheatre around 6:30 and the place was packed, over 10,000 in attendance! The place was filled with joy, peace and true love. You could feel the presence of Almighty God as the concert began at 7 pm. For King and Country played, shared and witnessed for the next 3 hours! There wasn't a bad seat in the house! The natural beauty of the venue added to the overall experience. The staff and event personnel were the very best and added to the overall experience. We had the best time of our life at Red Rocks that evening!

I think if you’re ever traveling to Denver and have time, you should definitely check out Red Rocks. The views are absolutely stunning, and the natural rock formations are incredible to see in person. It’s a great spot for photos and a nice hike if you’re into outdoor activities. While it was good to visit, we probably won’t return, as it felt like a one-time experience for us. It’s definitely one of those bucket list places to check off. The parking is convenient, especially if you visit on a weekday when it’s less crowded. Overall, it’s a unique place to explore with a lot of history behind it!
