Dunlap Hollow Luxury Cabins & A-Frames in Hocking Hills

The cave was a delight! Very well done and enjoyable! I didn't give 5 stars because of few problems. First there was a large what appeared to be a blood stain on the leather couch. We took a picture and sent it to the host because we didn't want to be blamed and covered it with a towel because we didn't want to sit on it. The host was already aware of it! The remote to the gas fireplace didn't work. We found extra batteries in a drawer and replaced them but it still didn't work. When we were fixing our meal we found the salt to be empty. Then after eating we found out the dishwasher was turning on but then turning off. We headed out on a cave excursion and to buy batteries and salt. The remote worked with the new batteries and the host suggested a few possible fixes for the dishwasher, one which entailed cleaning out a very dirty and disgusting filter in the bottom! However we were unable to get it running properly. We ended up washing our dishes by hand. We enjoyed the fire pit but there was only 2 sticks of wood where the pile is kept. There were instructions where we could get more wood, so we did. We did have a good time but for the price per night, we were a bit disappointed with the problems we encountered. One last small point, there were no wine glasses! The host did text back and forth and did apologize but that was the extent.

The OSU chaplaincy department staff had our annual retreat here yesterday. It was my first time of visiting this place and it surely won't be my last time. Beautiful and quiet environment for grounding, centering, relaxation, meditation and connecting with God and nature.

Incredible property! We stayed at the A-Frame and had such a great time! Some notable takeaways: - The kitchen is very well stocked, you’ll be able to find anything you need and has nice appliances - Hot tub was very clean upon arrival and was powerful and hot! - Beds are super comfortable and the pillows. 🤌 perfect! - Hiked for a short amount of time to see the waterfall but was pretty cold when we arrived. Would love to explore the rest of the trails - The natural light in this cabin is amazing, we stayed on the 3rd floor and woke up to the sun beaming in the windows. Feeling so refreshed! - The suspended fireplace is a great feature, and the couch was very comfortable. Perfect place to watch a movie!

The Cave was magnificent - lots of attention went in to the details of design and comfort! It was nice to have trails on the property and even though there are other cabins close by, it affords you lots of privacy. It's worth noting that the bunk beds (beds 5 and 6) are in the same room as the second large bed. So basically it's two bedrooms and one of the bedrooms sleeps 4. The bunk beds are Murphy-style beds that fold down on hinges from the wall and have a weight limit of 200 lbs. The bedroom that sleeps 4 also leaks and has standing water during rain. There was also standing water/pooling in the dining room area in the corner and living room area near the front door. The owners have attempted to direct the water that's over the Murphy's beds with a little chute, but it still drips down the wall and from the ceiling, and also lowers the temperature of that whole room. It's a truly beautiful place and I wouldn't change having stayed there, just maybe with 4 adults instead of six, or 4 adults and two older children. The owners could also put a little pergola or structure over the hot tub so that it can be enjoyed even if it's raining.

This was an incredibly peaceful and beautiful stay. The trails and caves on the property were beautiful and comparable to what you find in the Hocking Hills but without any of the crowds. There were so many tiny perfect details in the home. And every place you were on the property felt restorative.
